I credit my discovery of art to a high school class in Helena, Montana, where my first assignment was to paint a watercolor of a former bordello.
Over the years I have explored multiple mediums, including drawing, watercolor, acrylics, and pastels. Although I loved painting, art always took second or third place behind a job, family, and other responsibilities.
When I retired, I moved to Missoula, Montana, where the public library offered free watercolor classes. That experience renewed my love of making art. Since then I have explored watercolor, gouache, and acrylics and now work in those mediums, with an occasional foray into oil painting. These days I live in a motorhome with my partner, Bob, and we travel, mostly throughout Oregon. Periodically sojourning in Florence, Oregon, I have continued to learn, taking classes through the Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA).
